2025 with open arms
A full year ahead, what a beautiful thing.
This past year I have grown through a mix of both challenging and wondrous experiences. My biggest takeaway, however, is something my brother said the other day which shifted my perspective on the new year a bit. Many choose to put pressure on creating goals for themselves, some unachievable, and cause themselves stress to accomplish them. Rather than resolutions or changing something immediate this year, I choose to reflect on a grander, more sustainable scale in my life. Humans are ever-evolving constantly, moment to moment, so resolutions are funny because we really can grow and better ourselves no matter the time of year.
We read books, listen to podcasts, and believe content on the basis of what works for others. Our society loves to focus on others strengths with an attempt to live the life of another. This is the fuel of struggle, for you are meant to live the life true to you. Acting on what works for another may not be the answer for what works for you, so listen to your mind, body, and spirit through awareness of what works for you. No one person is exactly the same. When you live through love and respect, there is no right or wrong way to live. Let us give power to individual strengths. There is peace in supporting another, while also living intuitively with who you are and what you personally need. Do not force to please others, but live to feel good.
Focus on things that work for you, act on your strengths, and learn from your weaknesses. Time is to be spent aligned with your eternal love within, not wasted in an illusion of self driven weakness, fear and lack. Dive into your own successes, and you will see the outside noise is simply nonsense.
Walking to a yoga class in New York City, I stumbled upon a golden starfish in the middle of the dirty city sidewalk.
A starfish in the middle of the city sea.
Seek the light in the midst of chaos. Do not conform out of fear, thrive out of inner love and courage. Soon the sea of the world will unfold into millions of golden starfish. Through use of inner strength and love, you ignite your truth, experience peace, and contribute to the harmony of human existence.
To me, that starfish signified all one needs is within. No matter where, you are capable of peace and abundance when you become aware of the power you hold within. The creator of your own reality, use your unique experience (whatever it may hold) to learn about yourself with acceptance; move forward with love.
Real love is unconditional no matter what arises, and another moment will follow. The world keeps on keeping on. Stay in the flow fearlessly, and you will grow. Fear of the unknown leads to stagnation. Stagnation results in struggle. Stagnation in struggle lowers your energy and diminishes faith in the divinity of what simply is.
A tool to reconnect with self is the breath. Breathe to connect your mind to your body, your body to universal consciousness, and you will naturally feel pulled to stay present. A true breath that fills your lungs, calms your nervous system, and takes you out of your mind.
Become aware of you. Act on your strengths, honor your passions, embrace each opportunity. Experience it all, for nothing is that serious. This life is meant to be lived. Where your focus goes, your energy follows. Use it with intention to make the most out of the wonders we have on earth. There is no real pressure because there is nothing you should be doing. Release comparison, outside opinion, and external content that influences how you live your life. If it does not feel good when you think about it, it is simply not for you and that is okay.
Listen to who you are, and follow what makes you happy. No matter how old you are, you are abundant, and you matter.
There is no rush. All you need is within.
Come As You Are, and take what you need.
I wish everyone a beautiful 2025 full of adventure, laughs, new experiences, peace, and an abundance of love.
